When you’re starting a blog or a biz,

you’re doing so much on your own… learning as you go.

With so many choices to make, how do you know if you’re making the right ones?

  • You’ve been pouring your heart into sharing your message…but is your message actually coming across to potential readers?
  • You’ve been working hard on driving traffic and making conversions…but are you seeing the numbers you’re hoping for? Do you know what to do to fix it?
  • Is the only feedback you’re getting from friends and family?… Do they have the insight and knowledge into what actually goes into building a blog and biz?
  • You ask for feedback in various FB groups… but is the response limited? and the time they spend addressing your concern minimal?

Today building a website has never been easier! It’s not necessary to spend $1000’s for someone else to build it for you. It’s possible to do it all on your own!

However, when you’re creating your own website there are so many factors to consider….

There’s branding + layouts + opt-ins + navigation + social sharing + plugins and of course content! It’s enough to make your head spin!

You know there are certain aspects of your blog that are wonderful. You also know it needs some tweaking.

You don’t know what to change because you can’t see the mistakes you’re making.

It’s simply because your eyes get accustomed to your own design and writing.

What you need is an extra set of eyes. Someone who knows what to look for. To help you spot mistakes and validate what is working well.

Hey! I’m Ali Johnston

I put FAB FEEDBACK together because when I started my entrepreneurial journey 4 years ago, there were many, many times I wished I had someone other than my husband to bounce ideas of off and get feedback on my work.

He’s very supportive, but he doesn’t know anything about what it takes to build a site, write copy or develop a marketing strategy…despite me talking his ear off about it!

I looked online to find others to give me some feedback. I’d try to join online mastermind facebook groups, but they always died. And Facebook groups are helpful, but they have their limitations. And hiring a coach was just not in the budget.

I knew there were other people in the same boat as myself. Bloggers and biz builders at the beginning of their journey, doing most things on their own, learning as they go.

I knew people wanted feedback on all the hard work they’ve been doing.

I’ve been an educator for over 10 years and I know how important it is to provide descriptive feedback for my students and the work they do. Without the feedback, they don’t know how to progress.

I’m able to quickly look at a project or an assignment and provide constructive criticism that helps the student to know what they’re doing well and where they need to improve.

Your website is a giant project that needs to meet certain criteria in order to be successful.

I developed FAB FEEDBACK as a way to help you, my fellow solopreneur, with the feedback you need. To help you to know if the choices you’re making are working for you or against you.

What are you going to get?!

A screencast of myself going through your site for the first time while I think aloud. This will help you to see what the first impression of your site is.

A rubric is a framework that teachers use to clearly show whether or not a project (your website) is meeting certain expectations. Expectations like: Purpose, copy, branding and navigation. This will help you get super clear on what is working and what needs working on.

A detailed, personalized report on what is awesome about your site along with step-by-step, descriptive suggestions about how you can improve.

A simple to-do list with next steps, so you know exactly what to start implementing to see great improvement!

fab feedback is perfect for you if:

  • You’re starting your entrepreneurial journey

  • You’ve been in the game for a while but are starting something new

  • You’re building your blog and biz all on your own

  • If you feel overwhelmed or confused on the direction you should be going

  • If you’re lacking clarity
  • If you’re ready to take your blog or business to the next level and make it pop!

fab feedback is not for you if:

  • You aren’t interested in learning about how you can improve

  • You’re very thin skinned and cannot handle constructive criticism.

Feedback on fab feedback!

What some peeps are saying about it…

It’s SO worth it! I loved how you didn’t just write back in an email what I should change. I could tell you took your time and actually cared about giving me great feedback. The video was my favorite part.

Thank you for taking the time to give me feedback on my blog! I agree with you on the travel part and actually have been wondering if I should take it out or not. Thanks for helping me make that decision!

The information provided is detailed and thorough! It’s always good to hear the strengths and weakness from an outsider.

Family and friends are complimentary but don’t know enough about websites to give constructive feedback. Having Ali go through gives you a realistic view of what your customers are seeing.

Ali took the time to provide honest, clear, and actionable feedback. The documents provided more detail of her initial thoughts while viewing your site for the first time in the video. I especially appreciated the resources listed to help improve in my sites areas of weakness. Now I have pinpoint items to focus my energies on to improve my site! Thank you!

Fab Feedback was just the push I needed to enact some important changes! It helped me narrow my focus, re-work my navigation, and hone in on the purpose and subjects of my blog posts. Ali provides detailed feedback that is on point. I found the rubric and report very helpful and motivating.

Her feedback helped me make some important changes to P&P. Her advice to make each post have a purpose and solve some issue for my reader was very useful.

Simply message me and I’ll be in touch within 24 hours. I will ask you to fill out a 2 min questionnaire and then I will get to work.

 There are 4 steps:

  • I do is a screencast of myself visiting your blog for the first time. I do not look at your blog until this time, so you really do get my very first impression. I think aloud as I look around mentioning what parts are catching my eye and/or distracting me. The videos are approximately 7-10 min long.
  • I fill out the rubric.
  • I write the personalized feedback report which provides a detailed description on what exactly what’s working and how you can take your blog to the next level, whatever your goal may be.
  • I write out a to-do list so you know exactly what to do next.

Once the steps are complete usually within 72 hours, I will email you an invoice. As soon as I receive the payment I will email the package back to you.

When should I expect my report? How long does it take?

I make sure I do a thorough job. I take my time to give thoughtful, helpful feedback with purposeful action steps.  Therefore, I can only do a limited amount in a day.

You will have your feedback within 72 hours from the day you hand back the questionaire.

Can't I find feedback for free?

Sure, you can find pretty much anything for free these days.

You can go into a FB groups and ask. I’ve found that many times I’ve asked for feedback I get crickets or the answers are sparse and cause more confusion than clarity. People also want to be friendly so they often only give you positive feedback. Which is nice, but in order to improve you need constructive criticism.

There are services that provide 5 min feedback for free. However, the people giving the feedback may not know the criteria for a successful blog and will not provide customized feedback on exactly what you can do to improve.

Do you offer any money back guarantees?

Yup! If you don’t find the feedback helpful, you can get your money back within 1 week upon receiving your report.

All you need to do is email me and I will provide a short survey form for you to fill out. The form is designed to give me some feedback so I can fully understand what you found unsatisfactory and I can make improvements. Once I receive the form, I’ll refund your money.

Do you offer a follow-up?

I do offer a follow-up session via skype as part of an extended package. This is to help you implement the changes to your blog.
